James A. Walker (1832-1901) Brigadier General, CSA (VA). Participated in 1862 Shenandoah Valley campaign, Seven Days campaign, Sharpsburg, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg (as commander of “Stonewall” Brigade), Virginia Overland campaign (WIA – “Mule Shoe”), Petersburg, Ft. Stedman and Appomattox.
Document Signed (DS), war date hand written ration form in pencil, no place, Nov. 29, 1862, signed in ink by Walker as Colonel Commanding Brigade, authorizing provisions for the Pioneer Corps of General Ewell’s Division.
